Wilson presents an illustrated lecture on the life and career of Reginald Heber Thomson, Seattle's City Engineer who led major projects such as street regrades, sewage systems, water supply systems, and electrical power plant.</x-trumba:customfield>
			<x-trumba:customfield name="Full Description" id="3392" type="text">Wilson's new book about Reginald Heber Thomson, "Shaper of Seattle," has just been published by Washington State University Press and is a comprehensive, critical examination that explores key events and forces that shaped the man who shaped Seattle's infrastructure a century ago. The book and lecture covers Thomson's youth, career, personal life, and waning years.

A re-dedication of the GAC Rochester commemorative plaque will follow the lecture, with a reception following the program. Rochester was a Library Board Trustee, lawyer and judge during the years Thomson was City Engineer.
