David Lasky and Frank Young present 'The Carter Family'

Summary: Join us for music and a multimedia presentation from the creators of "The Carter Family: Don't Forget This Song," a graphic novel about the first country music superstar group.
Description: Hear about the influences, choices and practices that helped David Lasky and Frank M. Young create a full-color graphic novel. They'll show behind-the-scenes images from the book's four-year journey, including trial sketches, alternate panels and cover designs, color palettes and layouts. This is the first Seattle presentation of Lasky and Young's multimedia performance. There will be live music in the vein of the original Carter Family, performed by Cliff Perry and Laurel Bliss, for a sight-and-sound exploration into the creation of a major American graphic novel.
