Story Time Summary: 在幼兒樂園裡, 孩子們可透過玩遊戲, 英文兒歌敎唱, 讀故事書, 做簡易手工及玩各類玩具等不同的活動方式, 達到啟蒙的目的並協助幼兒們提前適應將來入學的環境, 且更可幚助幼兒學習到如何與別人分享及相處的經驗。而幼兒的照顧者更可藉此機會與社區內其他幼兒照顧者交換資訊及經驗並拓展人際關係.

Translation: Playgroup provides a fun and age-appropriate learning environment for 2-5 years old children. Children listen to stories, sing songs, and do simple arts and crafts with their caregivers during the group time. There is also play time for children to explore various toys and play activities. Through this group children are being prepared for pre-school and kindergarten learning environment as well as building relationship with others. Caregivers also build up and strengthen connection and communication with the children, and get connected with other caregivers in the community., Play and Learn Group is a bilingual program offered in English and Chinese.

Libraries for All Celebration and Passport Distribution

Summary: The Seattle Public Library invites you to tour all 26 new and remodeled branches and the spectacular Central Library with a commemorative Library Passport available at all locations beginning Saturday, Sept. 13, 2008.
Full Description: Distribution of the Library Passport on Sept. 13 will be part of a public celebration marking the successful completion of the 10-year "Libraries for All" building program. Members of the public can visit any Library location to pick up their free passports. The passports feature beautiful color photographs and highlights of each building project. Passports will be available at libraries while quantities last., Each branch will have a stamping location. The Central Library will have four stamping locations: The FriendShop on Level 3, as well as at the Welcome Desks on Level 1 and Level 3. There will be a stamping location for non-English speaking patrons at the Literacy/ESL/World Languages Department on Level 1. Each Library facility will feature a stamp unique to its building or surrounding community., Free coffee and snacks will be provided. Architects and artists will be at the Library locations they worked on to visit with the public and to sign passports. Libraries for All "Hopes and Dreams" handouts available. On one side of the handout, kids can color in their favorite Library activities and on the other side, teens and adults can share their views on future Library services.
