Description | Filmmaking and Pedagogy Workshop Three professors, Veronica Barrera-Kolb (Seattle Central College), Lauren Berliner (University of Washington, Bothell) and Stephen Groening (University of Washington, Seattle), will share their experiences with incorporating production projects into film and media studies classes. After short presentations, there will be time for further discussion. The conversation will consider practical matters, like equipment availability and student preparation, as well as larger questions about the role of creative expression in the classroom. The workshop will be particularly fruitful for graduate students and faculty interested in guiding students through the filmmaking process. Other interested members of the university and public are also welcome to attend. Coffee and snacks will be provided. |
