IF YOU'VE MOVED, MOVE YOUR VOTE!

Travis County Voter Registrar
Sunday, October 5, 2008

AUSTIN) — Tens of thousands of record changes to the voter roll are underway - - don’t get left behind! If you’re not registered to vote at the correct residence address, it’s time to MOVE THE VOTE. Monday, October 6th is the deadline to register for voting and to update address information for the November 4th Presidential Election. If you have an orange voter certificate with correct residence address, you are registered to vote.

Here are a number of convenient options to register for the first time or to update voter registration with a new name or updated address. These include:

If moved within Travis County, use this link to update:

www.state.tx.us…

If new to Travis county, use:

www.trviscountytax.org…

Download an application for any county at:

webservices.sos.state.tx.us…

Verify your voter status for Travis County:

www.traviscountytax.org…

Verify status in any county:

voterinfo.sos.state.tx.us…

There’s still plenty of time to pick up an application in person at dozens of locations throughout Travis county including post offices, libraries, grocery stores, government offices, recreation centers, health facilities and driver’s license offices. Voters Can also pick up a voter registration application in their neighborhood tax office at one of these locations:

East Austin – 4705 Heflin Lane at Springdale and MLK Blvd (drive through service)

Oak Hill Office – 8656 Highway 71 West (Building B – 2nd Floor)

Pflugerville Office – 15822 Foothill Farms Loop (drive through service)

Southeast Office – 4011 McKinney Falls Parkway (drive through service)

Voters who do not register by Monday, October 6 will not be eligible to vote in November. An application postmarked on or before the deadline will be considered timely for the Presidential election upon receipt. Travis County voters who do not update their residence address by October 6 and who choose to vote on election day (rather than early voting) will be guided to their previous neighborhood to cast a ballot.

The main office at 5501 Airport Boulevard will be open until midnight on the October 6 deadline!

Call (512) 854-9473 for assistance.

Everyone Counts in Travis County! Register and Vote!

More info: www.traviscountytax.org…

Glengarry Glen Ross

The City Theatre
3823 Airport Blvd.
Austin, TX 78722
Sunday, October 5, 2008, 8 – 10pm

DAVID MAMET’S SCORCHING MASTERPIECE OF BIG MONEY SCHEMES GLENGARRY GLEN ROSS BURNS HOT AT THE CITY THEATRE
October 2 - 26, 2009

Glengarry Glen Ross is a mix of hilarity and fury where real estate salesmen vie for the top sales prize in a savage contest of deception and betrayal. Roma is in the lead for the monthly sales award - a new Cadillac - while former top salesman Shelly Levene is riding a streak of bad luck. They rely on Williamson to give them hot leads, but Williamson ruthlessly pits the veteran salesmen against each other. As the cruel battle of wits ensues, the play offers a hard-hitting, darkly comic story of betrayal and a still-relevant analysis of our shifting values. Filled with shocking twists and turns, this cold-blooded drama is guaranteed to keep audiences breathless and on the edge of their seats. The play won the 1984 Pulitzer Prize for Drama and received four Tony Awards that year. This is the first time Mamet has been produced at the City Theatre and is for mature audiences.

INFORMATION
Thursday – Saturday at 8:00 p.m. Sunday 5:30 p.m. *Sunday, Oct. 26 2:30 p.m.
Reservations 512-524-2870 or info@citytheatreaustin.org.
Tickets $15-20, Guaranteed Reserved Seating $25, Students $12,
Thursdays pay what you can.

More info: www.citytheatreaustin.org

IF YOU'VE MOVED, MOVE YOUR VOTE!

Travis County Voter Registrar
Monday, October 6, 2008
