Social Media for Real Estate: This course discusses the how and the why of effective blogs in real estate. Agents will learn about some of the popular blogs on the market such as ActiveRain, WordPress and Realtor.com. Then, the agents will be shown how to create a new blog account on FeaturedBlog.com (Realtor.com). They will create a blog, and learn how to enhance their blogs as well as their account profile for more traffic. Finally, agents will see how to connect their blog to their website and vice versa., This class will also show agents the basics of important social networks such as Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter and ActiveRain. Participants will set up an account on Twitter and Facebook, if they have not already done so. Then, the agents will again be shown the how and why for effectively using social networks in their business.

Video Marketing for Real Estate: Video and rich media is the newest frontier for real estate agents! Right now, the traffic on YouTube exceeds the traffic on Google! This class will teach agents first how to purchase a video camera, and will contrast the features of larger cameras with the newer pocket video cameras. You will learn techniques for shooting good video for testimonials, neighborhood information, listings and more. We will also show you how to edit and then deploy your videos to YouTube, Facebook, your website, email, blog and more! This class will teach you how, with a very small investment, you can become a true media publisher. This is where real estate is going; don't be left behind!, Note: We use Flip Video and Kodak video cameras in the class, but purchase of a video camera prior to class is not required.

Tempo Basic: Don't let the word "Basic" fool you! This is a kicked-up version of the HAR course, and is a great class for new agents, or for agents who want to use Tempo more. We spend a good amount of time on search techniques, and students will learn some valuable pointers for creating effective searches. We have discussions on how to best print and email from Tempo, and these are tips that everyone needs to know. Agents will be given a short look at the different CMA capabilities of Tempo, and we will go over the standard reports. They will be introduced to custom searches as well as custom reports, and will be shown how to easily set up prospects with auto-notification.

The class will also show how to track basic expenses and income, write checks, pay bills, modify the Chart of Accounts and run some basic reports., For the best results, you should contact a CPA or an accountant, but this class will show you the basics of this popular accounting software. Note: The software we use is QuickBooks Pro 2011. It is about $149 at the office supply stores., Note: You may bring a laptop, but this class is designed as a high level overview of accounting for real estate more than it is a hands-on class.

KW Websites 1: In this course, we discuss the Keller Williams Internet site, and how to navigate to the Agent Websites, login and work on the sites. We discuss basic site setup, including entering the agent information, creating the bio page and home page as well as choosing a template for the site. Agents will also learn how to upload photographs to their Websites, choose a font style and manage focus boxes., Agents will learn how to select and obtain a domain name, and how to link that name to their Keller Williams Agent Website. Finally, and perhaps most importantly, agents will be shown how to set up what is known as an “IDX” link. This will allow agents to put a link on their site that allows customers to view all MLS listings while still within the agent’s site.
