We are celebrating the 10th annual Inver Hills Community College Student/Faculty Conference. This year we have a theme fitting for the year 2012: Flourishing in a World of Disasters.

We are also proud to welcome Dr. Anton Treuer as our keynote for this year's conference. Dr. Treuer will be discussing the loss of American Indian languages and identity as a form of disaster not only to the individual tribes, but to the greater well-being of the global community as well.

Be sure to join us March 21-22nd, 2012 for what is sure to be a lively and informative two days of discussion!

12:00 PM - 2:00 PM (Must be there the entire time)
The poverty simulation experience is designed to help participants begin to understand what it might be like to live in a typical low-income family trying to survive from month to month. In the simulation, 80 participants assume the roles of up to 26 different families facing poverty.

Come hear some of your favorite Italian songs over a lovely three-course Spaghetti dinner: bread and salad, spaghetti with sauce, dessert, coffee and drinks (non-alcoholic). Throughout the meal, your servers will not only provide you with good food, you will also be entertained by those very same individuals, who will be sharing their most favorite Italianate songs, which may include soloists, small groups (duets and trios, etc.) as well as the entire IHCC choir. The purpose of this event is to raise funds for a new music department scholarship.
