DESCRIPTION:Combining the crackled surface of raku ceramic with the tran
sparency of cold-mold glass\, Portland-based artist Judy Hill creates fi
gurative sculptures that have an unexpectedly charged psychological pres

forces the figures’ fragility through the exploitation of the medium’s i
nherent lightness and draws the viewer into the inner life of the figure
 .
