Social Chamber Music - Bass and Cello Duo

Pontevecchio Sicilian Bistro 710 N 34th Fremont - the place for lovers
Tuesday, September 2, 2008, 7 – 9pm

The Bottom Line Duo (bass and cello) is an internationally touring ensemble based in Seattle. For the last twelve years when not on tour they have performed weekly in a Seattle eatery. Pontevecchio Sicilian Bistro 710 N 34th continues this tradition with a Tuesday night presentation. There is no cover but reservations are advised. The duo performs 'social chamber music' - music from the disciplined tradition of the art form, presented acoustically, yet still free to wander through repertoire from Bach to pop, jazz, metal, opera, tango, folk etc. Chamber music through the ears of generation X.

Event type: Concert
Price - Low: 000
Age Range: All Ages
Ticket Phone: 206-633-3989
Ticket Web Link: www.bottomlineduo.com
Contact: Pontevecchio 206-633-3989
More info: www.bottomlineduo.com

Grand Cru Baroque

Trinity Parish Church, Parish Hall and Sanctuary, 609 Eighth Avenue,
Seattle, WA
Tuesday, September 2, 2008, 7:30 – 9pm

Kim Pineda, transverse flute and Bernard Gordillo, harpsichord. Grand Cru is a classification of an entity's potential to produce something superb. It also refers to any item of high quality, or the quality of a region.

The progressive program of pieces by J.S. Bach, Jean-Marie Leclair, Joseph Hector Fiocco, Michel Blavet, and the ubiquitous Georg Philipp Telemann all meet the grand cru standard. Kim and Bernard combine their talents to harvest the great growth of the music.

Free parking for Trinity events is available in the UPark lot between 7th and 8th, and Columbia and Marion. A map for parking can be viewed at www.trinityseattle.org…

Event type: Concert
Price - Low: $10
Price - High: $25
Age Range: All Ages
Ticket Phone: 206-325-7066
Ticket Web Link: www.earlymusicguild.org
More info: www.earlymusicguild.org
