Integral Education - From Cradle to Kosmos

Integral education stands out as one of the most pertinent and practical means of creating positive change in ourselves and the world.
This seminar will bring together educators of all age groups from around the globe, educators who are seeking the necessary vision, skills, and processes to fully serve students and the world that we inhabit.

Integral education is an emerging field, propelled by people who seek to push the envelope of what education can be. The seminar will provide a perfect environment to meet with colleagues and to network with a small but growing community that clearly understands that addressing a more complete spectrum of personal, cultural, and systemic realities at play in education is one of the most powerful ways to begin effecting the changes we hope to see in the world.

Some of the core questions we will be asking ourselves are

*How can education coherently address the whole human being, a being of body, mind, and spirit, immersed in cultural meaning making, social structures, and natural systems?

*How can we embody an integral perspective in all aspects of curriculum, teaching stances, activities, and assessment?

*In a universe unfolding into increasing consciousness and complexity, how can we work not only to develop current capacities, but also to create the conditions for the emergence of more complex perspectives in the future?

Presenters include:

Diane Musho Hamilton - Integral Spiritual Center Susanne R. Cook-Greuter - Integral Psychology Center Sean Esbjorn-Hargens, Ph.D. - JFK University Clint Fuhs - Integral Institute Jamie Wheal, M.A. - Stagen Leadership Institute Terri O'Fallon, Ph.D. - Pacific Integral Jonathan Reams, Ph.D. - Integral Review Miriam Mason Martineau - Next Step Integral and many more!

2007 Testimonial:

"This is THE seminar for educators interested in the future of Education." - Bill Epperly, Center for Academic Excellence, Chicago School of Professional Psychology

Zaslove's Rock & Roll "A Midsummer Night's Dream"

Enjoy Shakespeare’s comedy of mistaken identities in Arne Zaslove’s rollicking adaptation featuring classic Fifties’ pop tunes. Set in the Athens High School gym on prom night, 1957, the words are Shakespeare’s but the characters, wearing poodle skirts and leather jackets, sing and dance the night away! The whole family will delight in this accessible, witty and fun-filled show.

The quarter-mile trail to the Kitsap Forest Theater transports you from your everyday life to a magical place where stories for all ages have come to life for the past 86 years. Instead of curtains or lights, there are singing birds, a babbling creek and a sun-dappled stage. Theatergoers are amazed by the pristine beauty of this unique venue, located on a 360 acre rhododendron preserve near Bremerton on Seabeck Highway. The stage is surrounded by giant old-growth fir with verdant ferns serving as “footlights”, while cedar bark and living moss cover the “wing walls”. Seating is carved out of the side of a natural amphitheatre.

It is the FFC’s goal to develop individualized and sustaining regimens that lead to a significant change for positive patient outcomes.
Founded and based on the outcomes of Dr. Kent Holtorf, a chronic fatigue patient and practitioner specializing in fibromyalgia (FM) and chronic fatigue syndrome (CFS) patients, the FFC brings these medically proven protocols to patients nationwide. Founder and Chairman of the Board, Bob Baurys, established the FFC after he found relief from his five year struggle with FM symptoms with Dr. Holtorf's treatments. Using a six step approach, physicians work with patients to create a treatment protocol that is unique to each patient.
Centers are currently open in Atlanta, Cleveland, Dallas, Denver, Detroit, Ft. Worth, Las Vegas, Norwalk, Philadelphia, Pittsburgh, Portland, Salt Lake City and Seattle. Out of town packages are available for all FFC locations to accommodate the special needs of patients not living near one of our current locations. To learn more about the FFC nearest you call toll free 1-866-443-4276.
###

Social Chamber Music - Bass and Cello Duo

The Bottom Line Duo (bass and cello) is an internationally touring ensemble based in Seattle. For the last twelve years when not on tour they have performed weekly in a Seattle eatery. Pontevecchio Sicilian Bistro 710 N 34th continues this tradition with a Tuesday night presentation. There is no cover but reservations are advised. The duo performs 'social chamber music' - music from the disciplined tradition of the art form, presented acoustically, yet still free to wander through repertoire from Bach to pop, jazz, metal, opera, tango, folk etc. Chamber music through the ears of generation X.
