as you depart on an intriguing excursion through 300 years of haunted hi
story. Old Town was founded in 1706\, and for more than three centuries
people have lived and died around the Old Town Plaza. The historic build
ings and dark alleys conceal the long-forgotten secrets of battles\, mur
ders\, hangings\, and hidden cemeteries.\n\nProfessional Tour Guides esc
ort you on a 90-minute\, lantern-lit adventure. You will search for the
lost souls of early residents\, Civil War phantoms\, spooks\, specters\,
wandering apparitions and over one dozen other ghosts who have made Old
Town their eternal home. Learn the history and basics of Ghost Hunting
as you hear the chilling stories of actual events. Old Town is one of th
e most actively haunted locations in North America. Residents\, employee
s and tourists have all experienced unexplained phenomena. From actual s
ightings of full apparitions which seem to vanish impossibly into thin a
ir\; to disembodied voices heard in empty buildings\; even objects movin
g mysteriously on their own.\n\nCome with an open mind and bring your di
gital camera. Guests have captured many curious unexplained phenomena in
photos taken during the tour.\n\nReview the evidence\, and then decide

 oun\nCharles Coates\nMarne Elmore\nEmma Levitt\nPete Yahnke Railand\nSum
mer Grace Ventis\n\n\n \n\nPrintmaking has often been considered a creat
or of culture\; a medium that has played a pivotal role in the maturity
of civilizations. Calling it the most important invention since writing
itself\, William Ivins insists\, “without prints we should have very few
of our modern sciences\, technologies\, archaeologies\, or ethnologies
 – for all of these are dependent\, first or last\, upon information conv
eyed by exactly repeatable visual or pictorial statements.” It would be
apt to say that if language and script have been the vehicles of thought
\, print has been their locomotive vector. \n\nPrintmaking has played a
special role in the Southwestern United States\, which has virtually bee
n a capital for printmaking. There are a number of artists\, institution
s\, print workshops\, and galleries focused on the development\, explora
tion\, teaching\, and promotion of printmaking in the area. The exhibiti
on\, Emerging Aesthetics: Aesthetical Issues in Southwestern Printmaking
\, brings together works by graduate students in print media from variou
s universities throughout the Southwest\, including the University of Ar
 izona\; University of Colorado\, Boulder\; University of North Texas\, T
exas Tech University\, and the University of New Mexico\, Albuquerque.
\n\nThe exhibition attempts to address the emerging aesthetics in contemp
orary printmaking that challenge traditional notions of the function\, p
rocess\, and material of the “print.” \n\nThis is a first attempt to for
ge a connection between artists and printmakers from the Southwest\, in
order to initiate a dialogue between its various nationally reputed prin
tmaking programs. A few select participating artists will also be giving
presentations about their work in conjunction with the opening receptio
 n. \n\nThe exhibition is organized by the Print Club of the University o
f New Mexico and co-sponsored by the Printmaking area in the Department
of Art & Art History\, University of New Mexico.

DESCRIPTION:Legends\, folklore\, ghost stories and history come to life
as you depart on an intriguing excursion through 300 years of haunted hi
Guests have captured many curious unexplained phenomena in
photos taken during the tour.\n\nReview the evidence\, and then decide
for yourself the possibility of the existence of ghosts.
