Planning for the future can feel overwhelming, especially when navigating disability services, legal decisions, aging caregivers, housing, healthcare, finances, and long-term supports. Join The Arc of Arizona and Disability Rights Arizona for an interactive community workshop designed to help individuals with disabilities, family members, caregivers, and supporters better understand their options and begin creating a plan for the future.

This session will explore practical tools and resources, including Supported Decision-Making, alternatives to guardianship, powers of attorney, special needs trusts, future caregiving considerations, and strategies for building a strong support network. Participants will also learn about available legal resources and when professional legal assistance may be beneficial.

Whether you are just beginning to think about future planning or looking to update an existing plan, this workshop will provide information, guidance, and opportunities to ask questions in a welcoming community setting. Like the library itself, which serves as a hub for lifelong learning, research, and community connection, this session is designed to empower participants with knowledge and resources they can use long after the workshop ends.
