Children’s Discovery Times has been modified to more fully integrate music and movement from the Movers and Shakers program. The new design will introduce infants and toddlers to the amazing world of music while keeping all of the wonderful elements of a story time and emergent literacy. All children from infancy through five years old and their caregivers are invited to participate in lively singalongs, play on instruments, and enjoy great stories. Discovery Times will now be held in two forty-five minute sessions on Monday mornings. The first session will start at 10:30 a.m. and the second session will begin at 11:30 a.m. The program will also include great handouts and activities that participants can take home and use to continue exploring the themes and ideas presented. Veterans Day Parade

Come out and enjoy the largest Veterans Day Parade in the State of Utah!

Join us November 7 in downtown Ogden for a parade, soldier ceremony, activities, displays, and more. The public is invited to all events, and the grand marshals of this year’s parade are World War II Veterans. If you know a WWII vet, please, invite them to come. A float is reserved just for them.

The parade begins at 11:11am on Saturday morning with a flyover of F15s from Hill AFB. The parade route starts at 18th Street on Washington Boulevard heading south to 23rd Street, turns west to Lincoln Avenue, and then south to the entrance of Lindquist Field.

A great program is planned to take place at the ball field including an Apache Helicopter in center field and vintage military vehicles on display. There will be a live band. Also scheduled is the “Fallen Soldier Ceremony.”

The parade and program at Lindquist Field is to honor ALL veterans-retired, reserves, currently on active duty, war time veteran, and peace time veterans, young or old.

For years, scholars have debated the nature of the relationship between surrealist painter Salvador Dali and poet Federico Garcia Lorca; director Paul Morrison's Little Ashes delves into their personal interaction and their acquaintanceship with Spanish surrealist filmmaker Luis Buñuel, with whom Dali made L'Age d'Or and Un Chien Andalou. In 1922 Madrid, bohemian lifestyles are flourishing -- from the arrival of jazz music to the en vogue teachings of Sigmund Freud. As the tale opens, Salvador Dali (Robert Pattinson) is only 18, but his dreams of artistic glory lie poised in front of him; his outré personality and social attitudes soon draw the full-fledged attention of two from the in-crowd -- Lorca (Javier Beltrán) and Buñuel (Matthew McNulty).
