Children’s Discovery Times has been modified to more fully integrate music and movement from the Movers and Shakers program. The new design will introduce infants and toddlers to the amazing world of music while keeping all of the wonderful elements of a story time and emergent literacy. All children from infancy through five years old and their caregivers are invited to participate in lively singalongs, play on instruments, and enjoy great stories. Discovery Times will now be held in two forty-five minute sessions on Monday mornings. The first session will start at 10:30 a.m. and the second session will begin at 11:30 a.m. The program will also include great handouts and activities that participants can take home and use to continue exploring the themes and ideas presented. In 2002 the world was welcomed to Utah in a spectacular way. The Olympic torch was run through the streets of Ogden with the final leg being run on Historic 25th Street by Spencer Eccles. The huge crowd roared as Spence ascended the stairs to the stage and lit the cauldron. In 2002, Ogden’s Olympic moment was celebrated in spectacular fashion. In 2012, we are ready to celebrate that moment again!

The 2002 Olympic Winter Games showed off the hospitality of Utah. The Olympic volunteers helped everyone to have a great experience. The athletes, officials, SLOC staff, government officials and spectators all witnessed a phenomenal outpouring of friendliness, cooperation and compassion from the volunteers. And the volunteers all became an integral part of “The Games”. That same volunteer spirit is alive and thriving in the Ogden community today and we want you to be part of the energy and excitement that surrounds this community and the world class events we support. In honor of the 10th anniversary of the games and all of those involved, the GOAL Foundation, Ogden City, Weber State University and Snowbasin will host another celebration. In conjunction with the Mustangs hockey game on the 17th, the public will be invited to participate in a fun run on the Weber State University Campus. The new design will introduce infants and toddlers to the amazing world of music while keeping all of the wonderful elements of a story time and emergent literacy. All children from infancy through five years old and their caregivers are invited to participate in lively singalongs, play on instruments, and enjoy great stories. Discovery Times will now be held in two forty-five minute sessions on Monday mornings. The first session will start at 10:30 a.m. and the second session will begin at 11:30 a.m. The program will also include great handouts and activities that participants can take home and use to continue exploring the themes and ideas presented. Entry fee is $45 per person (includes Entry for Skate, Flowboard and Terrain Park as well as a day ski pass to Wolf Mountain for Saturday the 3rd).

Divisions will be depending on entrants: Groms 5-12, Juniors 13-18, Mens 18+, Female open, Masters 35+

There will also be a Kahuna Big Stick Best Trick Competition at the Terrain Park on Saturday put on by Kahuna Creations.

The goal is to get competitors to compete in all three events to help the crossover between the three similar board sports, so don't be scared if you aren't the best in one event atleast give it a try!!!

As one of ten performing ensembles in The United States Air Force Academy Band, Rampart Winds is featured as the traditional woodwind quintet. Each member of the ensemble brings to the forefront a wealth of musical knowledge and experience, having performed in numerous orchestras and music festivals around the world. Some of these locations include countries in North America, Central America, Asia, and Europe. By performing a diverse repertoire including original works, standard and contemporary compositions, and patriotic favorites, Rampart Winds superbly supports its missions of community relations, educational outreach, and Air Force recruiting. In addition to these missions, this exquisitely polished and refined ensemble is in high demand for diplomatic and military protocol events throughout the country.
