Bays has performed all over the U.S., Europe and Canada, including the Gaelic Roots Festival, the San Francisco Celtic Music and Arts Festival, the Festival Des Musiques-Vivantes in France, and the Willie Clancy Summer School and Festival in Ireland. Sproule sings in English and Gaelic and has made the guitar a significant factor in Irish music by being one of the first folk artists to make extensive use of the DADGAD tuning in the accompaniment of Irish music, a style now used around the world.
