<gc:eventdescription type="string">Get a different perspective on shoes when looking at them through a child’s eyes. Kids get into the act with Art About Shoes - creating artwork and writing stories about the shoes they wear. Twenty-eight pieces of artwork from Cindy Castanette’s 4th grade class at Clear Lake Elementary School (Bethel School District, Eugene Oregon) are featured in this unique exhibit. Each student created a contour line drawing of their shoe and incorporate an original written story into the picture, creating a multifaceted piece of art that brings the their shoes to life.</gc:eventdescription>

<gc:eventdescription type="string">This show will include pieces from Annie Meyer’s “Blue Landscape Series” which are inspired by the huge skies, soft green colors in the spring and bold white and bold brown colors and lines of the earth of the Eastern Oregon and Eastern Washington landscape. Also included are “French Landscapes”, paintings born from an annual painting trip to the Sancerre region of France. Annie feels that taking herself away from her life in Portland and “plunking” herself out in the middle of nowhere has been the most important thing she has done to develop her style and painting techniques.
