The Ascribing Artists is a creative ministry bringing together visual artists who wish to "Ascribe to the Lord the Glory due His name." Ascribing Artists recognize that anything they do pales in comparison to the Glory of the Lord. The Ascribing Artists ministry is inspired by Psalm 29:1, 2 we are to be "A Reflection of His Glory" in all that we do.

As a part of this creative ministry, Ascribing Artists is an avenue to bring together artists with this same belief and offer a creative outlet for artists who "Ascribe to the LORD."

Star Wars: Where Science Meets Imagination; an exciting exhibition featuring more than 80 costumes, models and props from all six Star Wars films that invites visitors to defy gravity, manipulate robots, and engineer droids.

Do I need a reservation?

More than 1.75 million visitors have viewed the exhibit since its inception, but it has never before been shown in the Southeast U.S. This exhibit is expected to be full during peak times. Tickets may be available during your visit, but you'll guarantee your admission time if you plan ahead.

If you do not reserve, you may need to wait for a later entrance time. We expect best availability for entrance times in the evenings.
This traveling exhibit was produced by the Museum of Science, Boston and Lucasfilm Ltd. and is presented by Bose Corporation. The exhibit was developed with the support of the National Science Foundation's Division of Research on Learning in Formal and Informal Settings.

Selected from the Museum’s recent landmark acquisition of over 400 19th and 20th century works of art by American women, this exhibition presents accomplished landscapes, portraits and genre scenes that celebrate the dramatic scenery, diverse people, and distinctive spirit of our great nation. Bringing a previously unseen facet of art history to life, the Sellars Collection offers a unique opportunity to discover contributions of women artists forged during a period of struggle and little recognition. The largest public collection of its kind, many of the artists represented in the Collection studied at major academies, received accolades and awards, and pioneered the way for those who would follow.

In Praise of America features approximately 40 paintings, sculptures and works on paper, and includes engaging florals, still-lifes, portraits, genre scenes, and landscapes reflecting different regions of the United States.

ID required: bring current driver license or DoD-issued badge. Helmet and reflective vest, or reflective belt, required; bring adequate water or sports drink. One stop usually at picnic area or campground. If neither POC rides, at least one other rider with a DoD-issued badge is required as sponsor to allow group to get on post. The Huntsville Madison County Public Library is pleased to announce the addition of the innovative Liftoff for Kiwanis Little Learners’ Workshops. The first workshop takes off September 30 at 10:30 a.m. in the Main Library’s auditorium at 915 Monroe Street.
Liftoff for Kiwanis Little Learners is made possible by a generous grant from the Kiwanis Club of Huntsville. This unique program helps get toddlers ready to read. Because of the hands-on-nature of the program only fifteen positions are available and are open to parents, grandparents or caregiver and one child aged 1 to 4 years. There will be five workshops in total, featuring a different subject and specialist each week. Topics will include speech, child development and play, nutrition and physical fitness. If you would like to be a part of Liftoff for Kawanis Little Learners, please call 256-532-5949, or register online at hmcpl.org

Summer Exhibit August and September 2010. Hours Monday through Thursday 9 am to 4 pm, Friday and Sunday 9am to Noon. Closed Saturday.

The Ascribing Artists is a creative ministry bringing together visual artists who wish to "Ascribe to the Lord the Glory due His name." Ascribing Artists recognize that anything they do pales in comparison to the Glory of the Lord. The Ascribing Artists ministry is inspired by Psalm 29:1, 2 we are to be "A Reflection of His Glory" in all that we do.

As a part of this creative ministry, Ascribing Artists is an avenue to bring together artists with this same belief and offer a creative outlet for artists who "Ascribe to the LORD."

Star Wars: Where Science Meets Imagination; an exciting exhibition featuring more than 80 costumes, models and props from all six Star Wars films that invites visitors to defy gravity, manipulate robots, and engineer droids.

Do I need a reservation?

More than 1.75 million visitors have viewed the exhibit since its inception, but it has never before been shown in the Southeast U.S. This exhibit is expected to be full during peak times. Tickets may be available during your visit, but you'll guarantee your admission time if you plan ahead.

If you do not reserve, you may need to wait for a later entrance time. We expect best availability for entrance times in the evenings.
This traveling exhibit was produced by the Museum of Science, Boston and Lucasfilm Ltd. and is presented by Bose Corporation. The exhibit was developed with the support of the National Science Foundation's Division of Research on Learning in Formal and Informal Settings.
