Dessert Hour and Pie Contest to promote AHS Drama’s performance of Othello (later that evening) and to raise money for the troupe to perform at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival in August 2010. The troupe is one of only 58 high school groups in the US to have been selected to perform in this largest and most prestigious theatre and art festival in the world.

ACPS Athletic Advisory Council

This is the second meeting of the new Albemarle County Athletic Council, a Superintendent's committee that will work for continuous improvement of athletic programs in Albemarle County schools.

The Council has representatives from each high school (coach, parent, student-positions rotate among schools). In the 2010-2011 school year the Council will expand to have 2 parents, 2 coaches, and 2 students (split among the schools). All three Athletic Directors will participate plus central office staff and a School Board member observer (Brian Wheeler during 2009-2010).
