Treasured Scrapbooking We Love Our Members Contest

Please join us for a four week long contest involving challenges, games and prizes!

Each Monday morning (or late Sunday night) I will issue a challenge based on a design principle, and you will have until Sunday at midnight PST to complete your layout. If you don’t complete a layout, you are out of the contest. Entries will be “judged” by the Design Team and given a score according to the following parameters:

1. Following the challenges directions
2. Photographs
3. Overall composition
4. Success of using design principle

It sounds complicated, but I PROMISE it will be fun! Each design principle will be something easy, most likely it will be things you already do! Digital scrappers are welcome to join in on the fun, but there may be occasion where paper scrapping will be necessary, so be careful to read the challenge outlines each week.

At the end of the four weeks, the participant with the highest score will be our grand prize winner. There will also be a random name draw winner and a weekly winner. There will be games and prizes to go along with the fun all month long!

I'm so excited to announce Up The Street's first Layout Contest!
I wanted to give everyone lots of opportunity to participate, so there are a few options ...

Do you have a different way of looking at things when it comes to rubber stamping? Smeared Ink is looking to add 5 Design Team Members to the Smeared and Smudged team. Smeared Ink is a brand new rubber stamp company that will feature edgy, unique, wild, sometimes dark, and fun art stamps. We're looking for team members who are not afraid to think outside of the box and express themselves in interesting ways through their projects. If you want to take a look at the types of stamps you would be working with, you can view our first four sets at www.smearedink.com Design Team Members art will be featured on the Smeared Ink Website, Smeared and Smudged Forum, and Smeared and Smudged Blog.

Requirements for Smeared Ink Design Team Members:
*You must have an active blog.
*You must be or become a member of the Smeared and Smudged Forum on Ning.
*You must be able to upload photos and/or scans of your projects.
*DT members are required to design a minimum of four items per month, including three cards and one altered item. Two of these items must use Smeared Ink stamps exclusively. These items must be posted on the forum and your blog, and also be physically mailed in by the end of each month. The other two items can use any stamps and supplies that you like and must be posted to the forum and your blog.
*Each DT member will be assigned a group from the Smeared and Smudged Forum. One of your monthly projects must follow the requirements of that group and be posted in that group. The groups will rotate. To view some of the groups available, please visit Smeared and Smudged on Ning.
* You must actively participate in The Vent group on Smeared and Smudged. A minimum requirement is two posts a week.

you will have access to play with it before anyone else!!

§ Your name, your story or anything you want to share with the world will
be shown in three different languages (or the language of your choice) for
the whole planet to enjoy! The creations will be posted on Facebook, the
website, the blog and may become subject for a make and take!

yours to be displayed where you want.

§ If you like multiculturalism, “non for profit actions” and friends
across the world… you will be interacting with people from everywhere and
also doing some good.

Sketchy Thursdays Design Team Call

Beginning February 15 through March 15, submit your entry to join the Sketchy Thursdays Design Team.

6 Sketchy Players will be chosen to serve a 6-month term beginning April 1.

Sketchy Thursdays is a weekly sketch challenge. Winners are chosen randomly and given a prize by a sponsor. Sketches are posted on Thursdays.

The DT will submit their layouts to Diana and Heidi by posting to the Design Team Gallery blog page no later than the Tuesday night before the Thursday posting for the reveal.

DT members are responsible for at least 2 pages per month. DTs will have to submit biweekly on their assigned week, but may also provide materials for the off weeks if they choose to.

Opportunities to submit materials for a Second Chance Challenge do occur within the month. Though not required, participation is welcomed and desired.

Occasionally we do have weeks that are sponsored such that you will have to complete the sketch using the materials provided by the sponsor. We do try to allow for plenty of time for these opportunities.

International entries welcome.

• Include 3 layouts, cards or projects that best reflect your design style.

Welcome! We here have all experienced a loss. Together, we hope to heal. This site is intended to help in that process...to be a source of inspiration and motivation...and to simply be a place to share and know that others understand. To that end, we (the contributors) have created these scrapbook challenges. For us, scrapbooking about our lost loved ones is therapeutic on many levels.

Challenges are completely open...anyone can participate and challenges are very much open to interpretation...take from them whatever helps YOU. Tackle them in whatever format suits you (layouts, mini albums, home decor, anything!). No rules.

(Note, if you're fortunate enough to have not suffered a loss, you're still more than welcome to hang out here. :) We know these challenges can be inspiring in and of themselves, without necessarily relating to loss.)

New challenges and examples will be posted on the 1st and 15th of each month. Between challenges, more in-depth looks at the contributor layouts will be posted. As this site evolves, we hope to add more content between the challenges and will look to you for ideas and suggestions.

Your challenge is to create a layout using this sketch. You can flip, rotate or mirror the sketch image, but it must have an immediate likeness. Scrapbook Express will be giving a $25 gift certificate to one lucky challenge participant.
There will be 5 challenges this month. Members can submit one entry per challenge giving them up to five chances to win the gift certificate. The winner will be announced on Friday, April 2, 2010. Projects must be new for this challenge. Projects cannot be combined with any other Scrapbook Express Forum challenge. We're currently looking to expand our design team here at Teddy Stampers. We are looking to add three members to our team, so if you love cute bears of all kinds, this could be perfect for you!

Here are some of the requirements for our design team members:

*Participation in all challenges and will notify the owner or design team co-ordinator if there is to be an expected leave of absence due to illness or vacation.

3 Scrappy Boys is taking applications for several positions on our Design Team.
Design Team Requirements:

• 3SBDT members will receive one free kit every other month and will use the kit for designing layouts, cards, projects etc. On the month the 3SB DT member receives their kit, a minimum of 3 layouts must be submitted and 1 card, or comparable projects must be uploaded to the appropriate place in the gallery. The kit should be used to its fullest extent.

• 3SBDT members will contribute to a monthly newsletter. Members will rotate assignments which will include but not be limited to technique articles, product spotlights, seasonal and holiday ideas, altered project ideas, etc. Those members that are not on “kit cycle” may also contribute to the newsletter as they are able.

• 3SBDT members will maintain a daily presence on the message board and gallery. This includes initiating discussions, responding in discussions, leaving gallery feedback and uploading non-DT work to the member’s own gallery.

• 3SBDT members will be required to participate in a maximum of 1 large online crop during their term. Depending on the work required for the crop, extra compensation may be given.

• 3SBDT members will be required to post 1 kit challenge on their assigned month.

• 3SBDT members will be required to lead various other small challenges and contests (i.e. layouts of the day, mini stash challenges, etc)

• 3SBDT members will promote 3SB on Willow Traders, Kit Peas and other message boards that are not in direct competition with 3 SB.

• 3SBDT members may be on other DTs but may not promote the companies they work for on the 3 SB forums unless the other company is a manufacturer or other business not in direct competition with 3 SB.

• 3SBDT members are asked to post kit reveals and peaks of their DT work with 3SB kits on their blogs.

Design Team members will be on a probationary period for 3 months. At the end of the 3 months, assuming there are no issues with team participation, the design team member will be offered a permanent contract for a period of 6 months and will begin receiving a Design Team discount for purchases in the store. DT team members are immediately eligible to purchase kits on their “off-cycle” months at a discount of 25% off.

THE MOSY SCRAPPER is looking for TWO very unique, crafty and spunky new designers to join the TMS team for a three month reign. If you think you've got what it takes to be a 'Mosy Girl' then I challenge you to try out!

TMS is a fun challenge board to be involved in. Many scrappers to be inspired by and just become friends with. We have a diversity of scrappers from all over just waiting to learn from you!

Please submit the following to mosyscrapper@hotmail.com no later than midnight, ET, March 24th, 2010:

1.) One new, never before seen OR published layout (any size or topic).
2.) Your favorite creation to date (can be a card, layout, or altered item)
3.) A short bio about yourself

Must register at TMS and have at least 10 posts to the message board in order to be considered. We'd love to get to know all our applicants. Call is open to everyone. Design Team reign will be for 3 months (May, June, July). Duties for the TWO new designers will be as follows:

Scrapbooks, etc. has a new column, and we’re searching for submissions. The column will be called “Etc.” and it is all about using your scrapbook supplies for home décor and gift ideas…projects other than scrapbook pages. As one of our editors (the fabulous Michelle Rubin) said, “This is about getting your supplies off the page and using them in new ways.”

If you have the April 2006 issue of Scrapbooks, etc, this column will be very similar to the ideas featured in our “Deck the Walls” column…wall art, memo boards, keepsake boxes, etc. (hence the name of the column!). We’d love to see your most creative and unique ideas!

Send photos of your projects to us at submissions@meredith.com, and put “Etc.” in the subject line to ensure your samples make it to the right people. Email submissions must be 500k or less. We will have an ongoing need for this type of project, so please send them at any time.

iScrap Challenge Group

Welcome to the iScrap Challenge Group

Every month you are going to be presented with a variety of challenges at various times to be completed for points.

With each challenge it will stipulate the requirements and what is needed to be awarded the points. They will also stipulate if you can do digital or hybrid. There will be some layouts that are digital only and the same for paper only.

If at any time you have any questions or problems with the challenges please direct all through the forum. There will be a chat area for the challenge competitors so you can ask there.

You will have until the 28th of each month to complete all challenges and have them uploaded to the iScrap's Challenge folder in the gallery. Once you have uploaded the challenges please post in the challenge thread with a link back to the gallery. DO NOT place the images in this thread.

Another step that you will need to do in the gallery, is make sure that you give each layout a title in the following manner: iScrap Challenge # 1 – TITLE HERE. I will know who posted it as your name is on all uploads.

Do you enjoy playing with crafty goodies and sharing your creations with others? Then Paper Garden Projects may need you!

We are conducting a design team call for the next 5 months and we would love to see your work. All the details are listed below.

Paper Garden Projects is looking for enthusiastic stampers who love to color and enjoy sharing their work and knowledge with others.

You must have an active blog and the ability to take and post good quality photographs of your work. Right now, this call is open only to artists in the US or Canada. This call is for 5 months, from May 1 through September 31.

What we’d like from you:

At least 4 lovely projects per month to be posted on your blog, the Paper Garden Projects Gallery on Splitcoast Stampers, The gallery on Paper Craft Planet, and any other stamping boards where you are active. The blog posts must contain information on what was used to create the project with links back to the store to help people find the products. Preferably, the posts would be spread out through the month (1 per week).
Create a project or tutorial for a themed blog hop once per month. Participate in and promote the monthly blog hop (project can be one of the 4 required).
Promote the 4th Friday Fun Challenge once per month with a challenge sample (project can be one of the 4 required).
Complete 2 other projects and post them on your blog.
Actively promote the Paper Garden Projects store on your blog and in other places when it is appropriate to do so.
What you can expect from us:

A package of paper crafting goodies (stamps, cardstock, embellishments or possibly a paper crafting kit) worth at least $20 every month.
Access to any digital stamps created during your tenure as a designer.
An additional 20% off regular and sale prices in the Paper Garden Projects Store
Free shipping once per month (to coincide with your DT material shipment).
In most cases, you can keep your actual creations and provide only high quality photographs. If we need the physical project for a convention we will compensate you for them.

What we’d like from you:

This contest is a bit different. I sat down to think about a contest title, and my thoughts drifted to all the horrible weather, all the natural disasters. How gloomy. I'm ready for a change - and "bright colors" just popped into my head. So I'm going to go with bright colors as a contest theme for this month.

This contest will have one winner, and that winner will receive a $20 gift certificate to use at A Peek into Yesterday.

Timeline:
- Submit layouts now through 3/31
- The winners will be announced 4/4

The rules (please read - you must follow them all!)

Frequently overlooked rules: list your products used.

1. Your layout must be bright! Use plenty of bright colors - pure reds, oranges, greens, yellows, blues, etc. Be cheerful and colorful!

2. Upload your layout(s) to the gallery under "Bright Colors" in the contest section (make sure the size is 100K or smaller, and the file name does not contain spaces or special characters) (Note: if you edit your entry after the deadline, the system will move the layout out of the contest gallery. Please send me a PM, and I'll put it back.)

3. Give your layout a title. If you enter more than one layout, please make sure the titles are different.

4. Scraplifts are not eligible for contests. If you use a sketch or an idea from someone else, please give credit.

5. Layouts previously entered in a Peek contest not eligible.

Note: You can not win two contests in a row at Peek. If you won the last contest, we would still love to see your entry in this contest, even though it won't be eligible to win.

Repeat Impressions is in search of new Design Team members! We are looking for talented, dependable individuals who love to create cards. In order to participate you must have a blog and maintain it regularly. Does this sounds like you? If so, then please read on...

SUBMISSION GUIDELINES ~

Please Note: We are unable to accept international based applications at this time. US applicants only please.

Please provide links to:
* 5 of you favorite stamped card creations that best illustrate your talents and skills
* a link to your blog
* a link to your SCS or any other online galleries

Please also submit a short bio and include any previous DT or publications

Your submitted cards do not have to be made with Repeat Impressions' stamps for the call, but we would love to see them if available. Please visit our site at www.repeatimpressions.com to see our product if you are not already familiar with us.

DT REQUIREMENTS ~
* Design Team will be for a term of 4 months (with the possibility for extension).
* You must have a well-maintained blog for posting your work and any major Repeat Impressions company updates.
* You will need to provide up to 4 stamped cards per month.
* You must use Repeat Impressions' stamps as the main focal image.
* You will be required to support all Repeat Impressions sponsored events such as challenges, etc. You can either join in the event by creating something or simply make a post on your blog alerting readers of the event. When possible you may choose to combine challenge projects with DT work. This allows you to create one sample which meets multiple criteria.

DT BENEFITS ~
* You will receive free stamps to use for your assignments or challenges.
* All images from any new releases during your term.
* You will receive a Repeat Impressions designer badge to display on your blog showing that you are a designer at Repeat Impressions.
* Your name and blog link will be placed on the Repeat Impressions website and upcoming blog.
* You may be provided with blog candy occasionally to give away on your blog.
* DT submissions are yours to keep and use as you wish. Occasional actual card samples are always welcomed and would be displayed in our booth at stamp conventions.
* You will receive 25% Off any Repeat Impressions stamps that you would like to purchase for your personal use during your term.

AFTER YOU APPLY:
Once I receive your complete application I will send you a confirmation of receipt. If you don't hear from me then I didn't receive your submission.
If you are selected for the DT I will contact you via email. I will then need you to confirm your commitment. Once that has been done I will make an announcement at Repeat Impressions and you will be able to do the same on your blog.

I know everyone has heard of the Week in the Life Album, if not done one. This month at Scrapdango we are going to be doing one along with giving photography tips and technique tutorials!

Here's how the month will look:

Week 1: Photo tips...one tip a day

Week 2: Take Pictures

Week 3: Technique Tutorials...one technique a day with each dt member doing a simple tutorial on a certain technique

Week 4: Make the Album...you'll use the week to make your album using some of the techniques taught in the tutorials.

Heather has been generous to give a kit for this event! It will be by random draw.

I am all about my Kentucky Wildcats Basketball team so this WO is about some March Madness! Here is your recipe challenge...
1. Your LO must have 4 Circles (representing the final 4)
2. You must use multiple fonts in your title (representing all the logo's/name of the teams)
3. 2 Pictures (because it comes down to the final game between Kentucky and someone) hehe!
4. Have some distressing in your LO (that is the way everyone will feel when they are beat by UK). hehe!

Tallyscrapper is looking for 3 Creative & Fun designers for our NEXT Design Team!! The challenge will be posted on March 15, 2010 and ends on March, 31, 2010.....You will need to Submit 3 NEW layouts for this challenge, these entries NEED to be never before seen!!! (You may post your Tallyscrapper Creations on your personal Blogs though). This is a three-month term (April - June), so PLEASE be sure you will be able to commit to this term 100%!!! Welcome! We here have all experienced a loss. Together, we hope to heal. This site is intended to help in that process...to be a source of inspiration and motivation...and to simply be a place to share and know that others understand. To that end, we (the contributors) have created these scrapbook challenges. For us, scrapbooking about our lost loved ones is therapeutic on many levels.

Challenges are completely open...anyone can participate and challenges are very much open to interpretation...take from them whatever helps YOU. Tackle them in whatever format suits you (layouts, mini albums, home decor, anything!). No rules.

(Note, if you're fortunate enough to have not suffered a loss, you're still more than welcome to hang out here. :) We know these challenges can be inspiring in and of themselves, without necessarily relating to loss.)

New challenges and examples will be posted on the 1st and 15th of each month. Between challenges, more in-depth looks at the contributor layouts will be posted. As this site evolves, we hope to add more content between the challenges and will look to you for ideas and suggestions.

Scrap Attack Scrapbooking is looking for designers to add to our team and we would be honored to add you as a key part of our family! As a design team member your primary role will be to help showcase the newest products we sell. Our designers work is featured within our Creative Gallery as well as our Online Store. Your exposure in our store is phenomenal because we link the products you use to the layouts you create. We are looking for individuals who are creative, committed to showing off your best work 150% of the time, passionate about scrapping, can comply with deadlines, and participate actively and positively on our message board. Do you think you have what it takes to be a {SAS}sy designer?

* We do accept international applicants, however due to the costs involved in shipping supplies overseas the designer will be responsible for the difference in shipping domestically and internationally (Canadian shipments are typically only a few dollars.) We apologize for the inconvenience and welcome you to become a part of the Scrap Attack Scrapbooking Message Board as another option.

Design Team member responsibilities include:

* Create a minimum of 6 - 12x12 unique and inspiring scrapbook layouts each month to display in our galleries.

* Agree to a 6 month commitment of May 1, 2010-October 31, 2010.

* Sign and return a Design Team contract. Failure to return or comply with the rules in the contract will result in termination from the team.

* Take well photographed pictures of your layouts, as well as closer images of details when possible.

* Actively promote Scrap Attack Scrapbooking on your blog, Facebook, twitter or any other websites where rules allow.

* As a design team member you are an extension of our site so you will be expected to act in a professional manner both on our site and on other sites you visit.

* Actively participate in the Scrap Attack Scrapbooking Message Board. If you feel you can not actively participate in our Message Board at this time, I would suggest waiting until you can fully make that commitment. While scrapbooking is the passion we all share, as a design team member you will also be asked to actively promote the store and the products we sell.

Design Team Member benefits:

* Receive FREE monthly supplies (Retail value $35-45) at no cost to you. Scrap Attack Scrapbooking will pay the shipping and handling on your design team supplies. In return for supplies, we retain the right to display your work in our galleries after your term ends.

* 35% off all purchases from the Scrap Attack Scrapbooking store during the duration of your term. (35% off original prices when you take an additional 25% off our already reduced {SAS}sy store prices.)

The Scrap Attack Scrapbooking Design Team will be chosen by the store owner. When filling a design team we look for all types of scrapbooking styles so everyone is welcome to apply. Current and past design team members are eligible to reapply. We feel that every site you design for should have your full dedication. Therefore we only choose designers who are on less than 3 design teams, one of which would be Scrap Attack Scrapbooking.
