Description | Liz Danzico is both Founding Chair of the graduate program in Interaction Design at SVA (School of Visual Arts) and Creative Director for NPR (National Public Radio). She will give a presentation titled "People First: 5 Points Along a Career in Design and Journalism." Both her roles use the power of design to improve everyday life. Her NPR team aims to provide experiences that meet people where they are — websites, smartphones, tablets, connected and autonomous vehicles, connected homes, and places still emerging — with user experiences that match the excellence of NPR journalism. Her students at SVA aim to research, prototype, and design ideas that transform communities. In this talk, Danzico discusses five points in her career that have led to her current work. She will talk about building a career, being a woman in the field of design and technology, founding a graduate program, and building a design culture at NPR. |
