who, with support from UW Libraries, are exploring new open modes of textbook publishing that could transform higher education by enhancing equity of access to course materials while simultaneously opening the door to innovative pedagogies.12:00 noon – 12:45 p.m. Lunch and Conversations: Affordability and Equity Lunch provided. A facilitated conversation to explore how Open Textbooks, Open Educational Resources, and Open Pedagogies can be used as tools toward equity in the classroom. 1:00 – 2:00 p.m. Writing a Review for the Open Textbook Library For faculty who are interested in reviewing a textbook in their area of expertise in the Open Textbook Library. $200 stipend for completed reviews submitted online by July 1, 2017. Register online (required) to attend all or part of the workshop.
