In this convesation, artist Irene Posch will discuss her work developing tools for her artistic practice blending electronics and needlecraft techniques. She will discuss the tool’s size, manufacture, and functionality and how they both open and forclose particular possibilities for making. The conversation will include an introduction to Poschs’ prototype tools for a textile electronic making as starting point for a conversation about the role and potentials of broadening accessibility and diversity in engineering and its resulting technology artifacts.
