Who should attend: Employees currently participating in a PERS, TRS, SERS or LEOFF Retirement Plan and who expect to retire within the next 12 months. Please contact the Department of Retirement Systems (DRS) at 1-800-547-6657 to request your retirement estimate and application or visit www.drs.wa.gov. This 3-hour workshop is designed for those retiring within the year and covers the following topics:

• Retirement eligibility
• Completing the DRS and UW retirement applications
• Retiree medical plan choices and enrollment
• Applying for Medicare
• Leave balances and VEBA, if applicable
• Notifying your department about your separation
• Working after retirement
