Description | UW EE is honored to welcome Robert Heath (University of Texas at Austin) to present the 2017 Dean W. Lytle Lecture Series. Heath’s talk will review the history and evolution of millimeter wave (mmWave) technology from its origins to the present day, and conclude by proposing disruptive applications of mmWave to areas such as vehicular and aerial communications, wearable networks, robotics and factory automation. The Dean W. Lytle Electrical Engineering Endowed Lecture Series is the Department of Electrical Engineering’s premiere annual event, featuring internationally-renowned researchers in the field of communications and signal processing.
