The Leaders to Legends Breakfast Lecture Series spotlights leaders from various industries. Colleen Brown is founder and CEO of Marca Global LLC, an award-winning online reputation management firm and an Inc. 5000 fastest growing company. Brown is an adviser and board member to public and private companies and select Digital start-up companies. Brown serves on the board of True Blue, Inc (TBI) and chairs the Innovation and Technology Committee. She serves on the board of Port Blakely Companies and chairs the Audit Committee. In addition, she serves on the board of non-profit Delta Dental of Washington. She served as Chairman of American Apparel (APP) during its reorganization and Director of DataSphere Digital Technologies until its successful sale in 2017. She previously served on the boards of BECU (Boeing Employee Credit Union), CareerBuilder.com and ClassifiedVentures.com (Cars.com). As director, president and CEO of Fisher Communications, Inc. (FSCI), Brown led the company’s turn around and was selected into the Hall of Fame in 2014 by Gabelli Asset Management for delivering outstanding shareholder value. Brown served in the C-Suite of Belo Corp (BCI), and as a senior leader at Gannett (GCI). She began her career in finance and digital technology. The National Association of Corporate Directors (NACD) and the Puget Sound Business Journal named Ms Brown as their 2017 Director of the Year. Brown received the Technology Leadership Award and the Innovation Award for her work in Television, as well as the Outstanding CEO award from the PSBJ. She is active in the NACD, WCD, C200 and IWF. She is past chair United Way of King County and former Director of Associated Press (AP), the National Association of Broadcasters (NAB), National Association of Television and Programming Executives (NATPE) and YPO/WPO. She is a Henry Crown Fellow at the Aspen Institute and a member of the Aspen Leadership Institute. She is a frequent key note speaker and panelist on board, disruption, digital and leadership issues.
