Professor Orit Bashkin tells the story of the thousands of Iraqi Jews who immigrated to Israel between 1949-1951, only to be resettled in squalid, unsanitary transit camps.

This talk will shed light on these migrants' everyday lives and their determination to thrive in a new and sometimes hostile country.
