The University of Washington is proud to announce the second annual 3-D Printing Symposium. Hosted by the UW Strategic Research Initiative for Additive Manufacturing, this two-day event offers an unprecedented chance to witness the latest advances in 3-D printing and scholastic research for one of the most critical societal opportunities in modern history. Our faculty, students and corporate partners are working together to identify and evaluate the true potential for additive manufacturing technologies to fulfill the needs of emerging technology and industry. Topics of discussion will include 3-D printing related to new material compositions, micro-architectured metamaterials, sustainability, and orthopedic surgery. We warmly welcome students and community members from all majors, professions and interests. Registration $50 for UW faculty, staff and industry partners and $25 for UW students and students from other public or private institutions. Registration costs include on-campus parking, boxed lunches, a reception following the first day and an Argosy Cruise following the final day. Register here: http://events.uw.edu/3DPrinting2017 |
