Network with other women in tech, learn practical skills that will help you make the most of the opportunities you have, and hear UX professional women reflect upon their own experiences negotiating their salaries and promotions. Healthy snacks provided. Coming and going is understood and encouraged, given evening classes, busy schedules, etc. You are welcome for whatever part you can make! Female HCDE undergraduate and graduate students are welcome to attend. Recently graduated female HCDE students and members of SWE are also welcome to join. At this time, this is a women only event. We will consider having another event that is open to all genders in the future. Men who 'get it' have a strong role to play in backing women up and changing workplace practices. This first event will focus on building bonds between women. Because there are aspects of the wage gap problem that affect women differently, we respectfully ask that only students who identify as female attend. Thank you for understanding.
