This intimate event will be hosted by the Northwest Climate Science Center and the North Pacific Landscape Conservation Cooperative next Wednesday, April 5th from 6-8 PM at the University of Washington Waterfront Activities Center. After a general introduction to sea level rise in the Northwest, seven experts will speak for five minutes each about how their diverse local groups are tackling this challenge. You can think of this as a mini conference on the main challenges of sea level rise for our region condensed down to a free two-hour evening event. Presenters will all be available afterward to interact over refreshments and for follow up. Please RSVP. Tickets are not required for entry. The venue is walking distance from UW Husky Stadium Light Rail Station and ample nearby parking is available for $3 an hour. |
