This workshop introduces participants to digital audio synthesis, demonstrated in Ableton Live. The workshop details a wide range of synthesis techniques and their applications, and though Ableton Live is the software covered, the information presented is relevant and applicable to other audio production environments. Students can expect to come out of the class with an understanding of the fundamental principles of synthesis, practical applications of those principles, and a better understanding of how to listen to and analyze synthesized sounds.
