Just how do you jump-start an academic publishing career? Have you been wondering how to get your work out there but don’t know who to ask? What sorts of platforms or media are good choices for someone trying to build a publication record for an academic career? Are scholarly journals the only way to go today? What do we mean when we talk about “broadening the audience” for academic work?
Join the Henry M. Jackson School of International Studies Professor Scott Montgomery and the International Policy Institute Fellows for a special workshop on getting published and writing for non-academic audiences. This workshop is geared toward University of Washington graduate students and early career faculty, but interested undergraduates – particularly those considering moving on to more advanced studies – are also welcome and encouraged to attend. |
