Please join the English Department’s Visiting Lecture and Diversity Committees for the next installment in the discussion series on Post-Election Pedagogy and Classrooms: “Framing Our Courses for the Post-Election Moment” Continuing the discussion throughout Spring Quarter…The Department of English’s Visiting Lecture and Diversity Committees are collaborating to convene a series of discussions on post-election pedagogy and classrooms. We are building on the enthusiasm generated by the panel and forum on the topic in Winter Quarter with three planned discussion for Spring Quarter. These will take place the first Friday of each month. A topic for each forum will be advertised in advance and the discussion will be co-facilitated by two graduate students and a faculty member. It is our hope that regular meetings will provide space for mutual support and for pragmatic exchanges among fellow teachers concerning classroom moments of relative “success” as well as those have gone less well or have been troubling. |
