Sponsored by the Center for Communication, Difference, and Equity, the conference is scheduled for June 1 & 2 at the Ethnic Cultural Center. It is free and open to the public, but please register at the website so we can get an estimate for seating and food. Our keynote speaker is Claire Jean Kim, UC Irvine, Political Science. She will be presenting on her new research on race and animal studies on the evening of June 1st. June 2nd will feature panels on colonialism and ecology, keywords in race and ecology, community activism, and speculative fictions. The conference will end with a reception and dance performance. |
