José Luis Serrano Nájera recently earned his Ph.D in History at the University of California, Los Angeles. He is currently a lecturer in the Department of Chicana and Chicano Studies at California State University, Fullerton. For more than a decade, he has taught high school and university students in the fields of Chicana/o Studies, History, Native American and Indigenous Studies, as well as Latin American Studies. Dr. Serrano Nájera is currently developing a book manuscript on Chicana/o Indigeneity in the context of late twentieth-century transnational Indigenous Peoples’ Rights activism in the U.S. and Latin America. |
