This workshop will provide doctoral students who are interested in applying to jobs at community colleges or other teaching-intensive institutions with an opportunity to develop targeted job materials for such institutions.

To help doctoral students effectively tailor their application materials, Seattle district community college faculty and deans will share their knowledge and expertise, providing feedback on cover letters and CVs during the first half of the workshop. Mellon Fellows for Reaching New Publics will also give teaching demonstrations during the second half of the workshop, and UW graduate students are invited to watch the demonstrations and feedback sessions to learn more about this difficult genre.
