Description | REGISTRATION IS CLOSED Investing in women’s economic empowerment sets a direct path toward gender equality, poverty eradication and inclusive economic growth. Women make enormous contributions to economies, whether in businesses, on farms, as entrepreneurs and employees, or by unpaid work in the home. Women also remain disproportionately affected by poverty, discrimination and exploitation. Please join us for a keynote address by HRH Crown Princess Mary of Denmark, followed by a dynamic discussion featuring panelists from the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, the International Center for Research on Women (ICRW), Margaret Schuler (World Vision), and University of Washington faculty and students. Registration: events.uw.edu/empoweringwomen2018 Space is limited, registration is required for public and UW attendees to reserve your seat. You may only register for one seat per person. Doors open at 10:30am and close at 11:00am. No late seating. |
