| | Description | Please join us to celebrate the fruit of a decade’s work on the project, American Sabor: Latinos and Latinas in U.S. Popular Music. First created as a museum exhibit for the Experience Music Project in 2007, American Sabor travelled to 18 cities in the United States and Puerto Rico. American Sabor has now been published by the University of Washington Press as a bilingual book (Spanish and English) with over 100 color illustrations and a companion website for listening resources. We will be joined in this celebration by musician Juan Barco, EMP Curatorial Director Jasen Emmons, and Miriam Bartha, co-founder of the UW Certificate in Public Scholarship. Reception to follow. Marisol Berríos-Miranda Shannon Dudley Michelle Habell-Pallán (co-authors) |
