What is autoimmune disease and how does it affect us? How can autoimmune disease be influenced by diet and lifestyle? Join us on January 18 from 5:00 pm to 6:00 pm at the HUB Room 334 to welcome UW cardiac nurse and holistic health and nutrition coach Christina Tidwell and learn about the relationship between gut health, digestion, and autoimmune disease. Guests will receive a handout of healthy recipes and an intro to meal planning and prep. They’ll also learn about ways to reduce stress and manage the feelings surrounding chronic illness in order to live a life unburdened by disease. Christina Tidwell is a cardiac Registered Nurse here at UWMC as well as a holistic health and nutrition coach. She specializes in helping women suffering from chronic autoimmune conditions increase energy levels, reduce bodily pain and inflammation, and decrease stress and anxiety in order to live a more vibrant life.
