Description | April 7 is celebrated as National Walk to Work Day as declared by the Secretary of Health and Human Services Tommy G. Thompson in 2004. The day encourages Americans to walk to work or walk at work for at least 30 minutes. Wear comfortable shoes and commit to walking to work if your commute allows it, or walking at work at any time throughout the day. Share your experience with The Whole U and you will receive a Whole U branded pocket wristband! Submit a photo of your walk to wholeu@uw.edu or share it on social media using the hastag #UWWalkWeek and tagging us with @UWWholeU. Make sure to register! |
