Climbing is not an easy thing to do and can take a toll on your body, whether you’re a pro or just starting out - but it doesn’t have to be that way. That’s why we’re bringing in Catherine Braden, a physical therapist at the UW Sports Performance Center to help you prevent injuries and give you training and exercise tips! Catherine has been a climber for 5 years and has a special interest in climbing medicine and overuse injury prevention. On April 19, Catherine will be joining us in a physical therapy talk covering the common overuse injuries in climbers, strategies to prevent such injuries, and tips on how to improve your climbing and health. All levels are welcome, including experienced climbers and those who have never climbed before but would like to try. Don’t let the fear of injury stop you from climbing!
