We believe that every child has an innate
sense of creativity and imagination. Our Summer Academy is geared toward developing confidence and advancing performance skills so that every child can be a star. Students will learn theatrical skills as they participate in the rehearsal process and the excitement of performing on stage.

Session II: July 28 - August 15*
Classes: Monday through Friday from 9am to noon.
Performance: Friday, August 15, 5pm.

For youth ages 8-12.

Tuition for the 2008 Theatre Academy is $315 per child per three week session with a non-refundable registration fee of $30.

No prior performing experience required.

Limit 20 per session.

Your remaining balance may be paid anytime from now until the first day that your session begins.

Teen Poetry Workshop

Portsmouth Public Library presents Punk-Rock Poetry!, a free workshop for teens ages 14 through 17. The workshop runs from Monday, August 4th through Thursday, August 7th from 10 am to 12 pm, with an optional performance on Thursday night. Participants will learn how to shape razor-sharp words into poems of the 21st century. We’ll look at contemporary poets who are pushing the envelope, and we’ll do writing exercises that challenge and engage our minds. What is N+7? What is slam? What is erasure? Find out here.
