Holiday Art Show

The Arts Council of Snohomish County presents our annual Holiday Art Show featuring the Contemporary QuiltArt Association as well as regional glass and ceramic artists. The Contemporary QuiltArt Association is a diverse group of artists, teachers, writers, collectors and shop owners, living throughout Washington State, and view quilts as an exciting emerging medium of expression and a viable contemporary art form.
The exhibit runs from November 12 – December 31, 2009 with an opening reception on Thursday November 12th from 5-8pm. Regular hours are Monday – Friday 10am – 5pm and Saturday 11am – 4pm.

The Christmas Bazaar is being held to raise funds to host Thanksgiving Day Dinner for homeless and those in need. Admission to the Bazaar is free.

Share music, food and goodwill to celebrate the winter holiday season with Bastyr’s Choir. This is a dinner and concert set in the Medieval-Renaissance period when madrigal singing was popular in England. Performers will wear period costumes and perform mostly period music. The evening will have a uniquely Bastyrian flare to include fairies, multi-cultural music and dance. During dinner, musicians and other performers will provide informal entertainment. Food will be served with a flourish of brass fanfare. After the meal, the Bastyr Choir will perform a concert of madrigals and holiday music from the balcony of Bastyr's acoustically marvelous chapel, and the audience will be invited to join in a sing-along of holiday carols. This Madrigal Feast will be the first concert given by the choir.

ABOUT THE CHOIR:
Bastyr University Choir is a chamber ensemble founded in January 2009 by its director, Linda Phelps. It is a volunteer ensemble comprised of Bastyr students, staff, and faculty. The choir performed at a variety of events on the Bastyr campus last winter and spring.

Space Needle Tree Lighting
