Tuning the Air - acoustic guitar ensemble

Tuning the Air is a wholly unique approach to musical performance. The 9-member acoustic guitar ensemble performs an inspired repertoire in a 360-degree configuration – the players surround the audience. Delicate improvisations circulate and powerful rhythmic-melodic patterns cross and weave. From ambient to rock to classical to minimalist, the music is selected and arranged to take maximum advantage of the possibilities presented by a multi-player ensemble and the physical relationship of performers and audience.

Wolfmother, Heartless Bastards, Thenewno2

The true rebirth of the power trio is upon us. Wolfmother, consisting of three curly haired brothers in music is spreading the word of escapist explorations in rock to the world. Though, somehow, rock just doesn't seem to encompass the multi-layered anthropological dig that is Wolfmother.

The shrilling vocals of Andrew Stockdale are rhythmically dictated with the conviction of a preacher from the dark side of the moon; simultaneously enhanced by the ceremonial style keyboards and evil bass riffs of Chris Ross and then obliterated by Myles Heskett's drum patterns from Zion

No longer shall the complexities of life with its desperate flaws and triumphant moments of affirmation be mocked by a prosaic formulaic pop that has left us anxious and scared of our own inner demons. No - now is a time to get dirty and celebrate the all-encompassing chaos order theory that is Wolfmother.
