DESCRIPTION:White Light: Glass Compositions by Daniel Clayman\nOrganized
  by Daniel Clayman/Montague Studios\, Ltd.\nThrough June 14\, 2009\n \nW
hite Light: Glass Compositions by Daniel Clayman comprises seven large-s
cale\, dense\, opaque sculptures that challenge viewers’ perceptions of
glass art and defies the stereotype of contemporary glass. Created using
the cire perdu (lost wax casting) technique\, the forms appear extremel
y simple\, yet Clayman describes his process as intensely difficult. In
them\, Clayman embraces the Minimalist discipline\, masterfully combinin
g it with the dynamism of the Studio Glass movement and his own fascinat
ion with the nature of light. The result is light made manifest as a see
 mingly tangible object.

DESCRIPTION:Craig Wright has created a stirringly complex and intimate c
ontemporary story about marriage and family and what happens when compla
cency and selfishness get in the way. Orange Flower Water explores the p
ainfully intense and\, at times\, darkly humorous unraveling of two marr
iages through a series of scenes set in or around a single bed. As relat
ionships become fractured and painful endings are a near certainty\, a v
ery fragile - yet authentically hopeful - new beginning takes root. The
question we are left with is: “Is it worth it?”

DESCRIPTION:Vetri Glass-Seattle is pleased to present flamework glass ar
tist Roger Parramore in his first exhibition with the gallery. Throughou
t his artistic career\, Parramore has examined relationships between obj
ects and the space they occupy as well as how those associations are int
erpreted. "That Night in Osaka" brings fresh perspective to that examina
tion through a collection of graceful blown-glass vessels drawing on a c
ity as muse. The installation encourages viewers to examine each piece w
ithin context to the work around it\, including his handmade\, curly map
le table on which they are presented. Utilizing the traditional Italian
technique of incalmo\, the process of joining two or more bubbles togeth
er to form a larger piece\, Parramore emphasizes relationships even with
 in a single piece.

DESCRIPTION:KING JOHN \nDirected by Teresa Thuman\nThe 13th Century has
just begun and the English crown is being contested - both France and Au
stria are threatening war. Disagreement is at the core of a story filled
with political intrigue\, assassination plots\, unfortunate accidents a
nd the never-ending conflict between England and France. Combining the r
uthlessness of Richard III\, the antics and moral uncertainty of Hamlet
and the raw familial relationships of King Lear\, you may find yourself
in the world of a play that seems strangely familiar. This rarely produc
ed gem is not to be missed.\n\nCOMEDY OF ERRORS\nDirected by Ryan Higgin
s\nCome forget what you know and relish in what you see! With two pairs
of identical twins wandering around the same town\, misunderstandings an
d confusion are the order of the day. Antipholus of Syracuse travels to
a foreign land to find himself well known\, while Antipholus of Ephesus
becomes a stranger in his own home. Shakespeare's idealized adaptation o
f a farce by Plautus is a dizzying comedy classic that anyone can lose t
hemselves within. With a gender swapped cast\, this production invites y
ou to go with what you know\, trust in what you see\, and believe in wha
tever you wish\; relish in the distressing events of a life that is not
 yours.
