After graduating from the University of Puget Sound, his interest in socially responsible investing led him to pursue Masters and Ph.D. degrees in environmental policy and public policy at Indiana University. Tom was a professor of environmental policy at Ohio State for 16 years, where his research included collaborative environmental management, forest policy, and climate change policy.
