Leaders are everywhere depending on the filters and values utilized. Dr. Nāone will explore how Native Hawaiian traditional systems can be utilized as a source of inspiration and then contextualize those systems and values to meet the needs of our current times. The Chief Executive Officer of the Institute for Native Pacific Education & Culture (INPEACE), Kanoe Nāone, Ph.D. is responsible for the overall vision and direction of the statewide community-based agency. Through her leadership, INPEACE serves more than 6,400 people annually, with early childhood education, workforce de-velopment, and Hawaiian langue and culture programming. Dr. Nāone received her Ph.D. in Political Science from the University of Hawaii at Manoa, and is passionate about grassroots common sense solutions to com-plex issues by determining root causes and relying upon indigenous knowledge.
