Join ASUWT and SAB for the annual Rock the Vote event at The Swiss! There will be live music, civic organizations, and political speakers. Tacoma City Council candidates Philip Cowan and Meredith Neal, and mayoral candidates Jim Merritt and Victor Woodard will speak. Also set to speak are Lt. Gov. Cyrus Habib, and State Representative Melanie Stambaugh (R-25th). Elected at age 24 in 2014, Stambaugh became the youngest woman to be elected to the Washington State Legislature since 1936. Habib was elected to the lieutenant governorship after serving in the state Senate, and he was the first Iranian-American elected to state office anywhere in the United States. Questions?
