Please join us to learn about international scholarship opportunities open to faculty and staff through the Fulbright Scholar Program, as well as to hear from a faculty colleague who received a Fulbright award, Dr. Bill Kunz (2009-10 Fulbright Scholar to Japan). Dr. Kunz will share his experience with the Fulbright Program and offer insights based on participant questions. In addition, we will cover several facets of the program, including: • Opportunities for teaching, research, and flexible initiatives in more than 125 countries. • Tips on how to craft a competitive application, including how to make contacts abroad and choosing the right country/Fulbright grant for you. • Resources you can utilize this spring and summer as you prepare a proposal. Applications to the Fulbright Scholar Program are due August 1, 2018. *Note that if you are interested in the Fulbright but are not able to make this workshop, an identical session will be held Thursday, May 17th 2-3pm with Dr. Mary Hanneman, two-time Fulbright Scholar to India. Please feel free to bring your own lunch. |
