DESCRIPTION:The Gentle class is designed for students interested in a sl
ow but effective practice. It includes gently held postures and breathin
g techniques that calm the mind\, relax the body\, and improve joint hea
lth and flexibility. It is great for beginner and seniors\, as well as e
xperienced students seeking a softer\, breath-oriented energy practice.
It is open to all levels and is designed to connect breath\, alignmen
t\, and mindfulness with basic yoga postures. This class is based on the
Kripalu tradition of breath\, relaxation and self-acceptance.\n\nSharon
 's Bio:\n\nSharon teaches Gentle yoga. A 2006 graduate of Kripalu’s teac
her training\, Sharon has additionally studied with many nationally know
 n teachers including\; Tias Little\, Sarah Powers\, Anna Forrest\, Kofi
Busia\, Michael Carroll (Yoganand)\, and Richard Faulds (Shoban). She ha
s assisted yoga and meditation workshops at Kripalu. Sharon has been esp
ecially influenced by Kripalu’s emphasis on breath\, relaxation and self
-acceptance. She took her first yoga class in 2003 and quickly fell in
love with the practice. She became a yoga teacher following her retirem
ent from a thirty-three year corporate career. Sharon’s classes feature
a sweet\, slow\, stretchy style of yoga that focuses on breath\, body aw
areness\, and the release of tension: encouraging students to go deeply
into feeling and to make each posture their own. Kripalu yoga recognize
s that everyone’s body is different and encourages modifications to meet
individual needs. Sharon provides up-leveling options for those want
more intensity\, and gentle adjustments are suggested for those wanting
a softer practice. Her classes are accessible to all ages and levels of
yoga experience from beginners to experienced practitioners in the mood
for a softer\, breath oriented practice. “Yoga has helped me find the
pure pleasure in being alive on this planet. It allows me to experience
each moment of life more fully - all the way down to my bones. It’s an
honor to be able to share this wonderful\, ancient practice\, to help ot
hers find the bliss and peace that’s available by going inside and letti
 ng go..”

e are the main body of sacred texts in India that came long before Patan
jali’s Yoga Sutras. This astrology is based on birth time and shows you
r prabadha karma (lessons you are working out in the life time). \n\nNo
thing is unknown. All challenges and problems are karmic. Using the sci
ence of Jyotish we can have the knowledge to understand these negative i
nfluences. We can then make the proper choices and use necessary remedi
es to create a brighter future. Jyotish is a natural complement to yoga
.\n\nThis astrology is unique and gives you guidance on your path of lif
 e. These readings are very detailed as I spend over an hour looking ove
r the chart ahead of time which is not usually done by most astrologers.
I provide spiritual remedies as well as grounded advice. \nThis is pe
rfect for you if you want to deepen your spirituality\, if you are going
through a difficult time\, or wondering what will happen in your life.
Some karma is written in stone\, some in sand and some in water. By b
eing aware of the patterns in your life and having knowledge of things t
o come\, you can make harmonious choices in your life. We look at life
from a day to day view but with astrology we can look at patterns from a
deeper perspective. Remember\, not all karma is written in stone\, don
’t be afraid to learn what is happening for you. This knowledge empower
s you to create a brighter future.\nGauri has been living the last 6 yea
rs with her Guru in India. Her training was given by an Indian monastic
whose family has done Jyotish (Vedic astrology) for generations. She ha
s a degree in psychology and is in training to become a priest. Gauri h

DESCRIPTION:with Temple Symonds\n\nHatha yoga\, taken from the words ref
erencing sun and moon\, is closely related to vinyasa in two ways: The p
ractice focuses on the asanas (poses) and pranayama (breath work). There

e body that don’t get accessed nearly enough in our daily lives.\n \nBui

be anywhere from gentle to dynamic. In a typical vinyasa class\, we will

erplay of movement and breath topped off with a dash of humor!\n\n“Yoga
has become an anchor during a time of significant change in my life. M
y mat is a place I return to again and again to quiet my mind\, connect
with body and breath\, and to be reminded that I am a part of something
much bigger than myself.” Catherine began practicing yoga ten years ago
as a way to effectively deal with stress and later experienced yoga’s p
ower as a health system using it to strengthen and heal an injured shoul
der without surgery. “My practice has expanded to include not only asan
a but also breath work\, meditation\, and the study of yogic philosophy.
Each day presents an opportunity to continue the challenging journey o
f learning to live my yoga both on and off the mat.”
