DESCRIPTION:"The Elements\, as a group\, is about the elements of friend
 ship\, love\, understanding\, travel\, exploration within and the daily
personal battles between action and procrastination\," Rhino says. "For
us\, music is a tool and we use it to operate on our own lives. Our live
performance contains the purpose of our message\, "Positive engagement
with our surroundings!" says Energy.~\n\n~Rhino first stepped on stage i
n May of 2008 as a guest of Energy's\, after 4 years of making solo musi
c with Nic Campbell of The Foundation Sound Lab. After creating the Elem
ents in Summer 2008\, they have created an impressive resume which inclu
des Lyrics Born\, Moka Only of Swollen Members\, Sweatshop Union\, Josh
 Martinez\, Sleep\, One Be Lo\, Grieves\, Grayskul\, Mac Lethal\, Project
  Lionheart\, the Lifesavas\, P Smoov\, The Let Go\, Ryan Lewis\, Othello
of Lightheaded and many more! \n\nhttp://www.myspace.com/theelements\n
\nCorner State unofficially began in 2007 when Jaymes McFarland and Natha
n Chapple sat down in a familiar basement and collaborated in the making
of a few simple catchy tunes. Ever since the music has grown to become
more unique while remaining to carry a loud mainstream on its back. With
the encouragement of friends\, family\, strangers and fans alike\, the
two young musicians have managed to write and perform over 20 increasing
ly distinct songs. The recent addition of Matt Rose riding percussion in
late 2008 has had an all too important impact on the the tone and style
of the music surely for the better. The persona of the group as a whole
has taken turns toward an up beat rock pop sound that is quickly gainin
g momentum in the musically flourishing area of Seattle. \n\nhttp://www.

DESCRIPTION:VerleeRose is... Keira Verlee and Ellie Rose. We are two 14
year old singer/songwriters from Seattle\, WA.\n\nWe met as new students
at a Seattle area middle school in 2005. Both of us loved music and had
piano & voice lessons. We became friends instantly!\n\nDuring 6th grade
we shared the same piano and vocal teacher and became part of “the most
talented 6th grade choir group" our school had ever seen. It was then t
hat we decided we would make music together someday.\n\nIn the summer of
2006 we both switched to guitar lessons\, again from the same teacher\,
and we totally fell in love with it!\n\nThen in 2008 we wrote and perfo
rmed our first song together for our 8th grade graduation ceremony. It w
as at that moment we realized we really were going to make music togethe
 r. \n\nhttp://www.myspace.com/verleerose\n\nSam Wegman: I am a musician
from Seattle who is based out of Portland currently. As a musician I am
always looking for new opportunity with projects and places to play! Fee
l free to contact me as I am a pretty friendly dude. Writing songs is so
mething that I really love\, so being able to have others listen and\, h

DESCRIPTION:The Satellite 4 was literally born on the bricks of Beale St

ar player from Idaho and a drummer from Nevada while they were all holdi
ng down the International Blues Festival in Tennessee.\n\nA bit later\,
in Seattle (a place not quite known for its soul)\, we found our bass ma
n - the city's own soul evangelist\, preaching the blues on sunday morni

it.\n\nBring everything to a rolling boil\, and here we are... playing t

DESCRIPTION:In what's bound to start a chain of similar tour runs\, Park
the Van is going to take the show on the road. This Summer\, we're brin
ging Floating Action and Generationals to the West Coast for the first t
ime! Please come support these artists as they make the trek across the
 Mississippi and Rocky Mountains.\n\nhttp://www.parkthevan.com\n\nFloatin
g Action is the pseudonym of musician\, songwriter\, and producer Seth K
auffman. After releasing both a debut EP and his first full-length on H
ightone Records in 2006\, Kauffman returned in the Fall of 2007 with ano
ther homemade gem\, 'Research' (Park The Van). This coming March\, Park
The Van will release Kauffman’s most accomplished work to date – and hi
s first under his new moniker – the self-titled ‘Floating Action’.\n\nMi
xed by Bill Moriarty at Dr. Dog's American Diamond Studio in Philadelphi
a\, ’Floating Action’ displays Kauffman's marked growth as both a produc
er and songwriter: "A concept I like to integrate to give a more descrip
tive texture to a piece is attaching the wrong type of style-approach fo
r a song...". This off-kilter approach manages to align seemingly dispar
 ate elements of bossa nova\, dub\, folk\, blues\, garage-rock\, soul\, g
ospel\, and country into one cohesive\, cross-cultural soiree. In the ar
 tist's own words\, "It's definitely dance music". \n\nhttp://www.parkthe
van.com/floatingaction/\n\nGenerationals is the collaboration of Ted Joy
ner and Grant Widmer. Following the breakup of their previous band the E
ames Era\, they returned home to New Orleans in 2008 to form Generationa
ls and record their first record\, Con Law.\n\nThey tapped the Oranges B
and founder Daniel Black (the mind behind the Eames Era's swan song Hero
es and Sheroes) to engineer and produce the record at his D.C.-based hom
e-studio. Black recorded Con Law in the style of his heroes—George Marti
n\, Phil Spector\, Jeff Lynn and Quincy Jones—with a meticulous attentio
n to detail and a willingness to make the recordings sound old. The resu
lt is one of those classic “first record” moments that blissfully wills
its listeners into repeat listens. \n\nhttp://www.parkthevan.com/gener
