The Pancreatic Cancer Action Network’s PurpleLight is a gathering of survivors, family, and friends who have been affected by pancreatic cancer. Participants form a community of hope in parks, courtyards, and city venues, as they share stories about their connection and the commitment to fight pancreatic cancer. Individuals gain both encouragement and comfort by illuminating purple glow sticks as they hear their loved ones’ names read aloud. More than 80 communities across the nation host PurpleLight events, helping to turn the country purple and shine light on our cause. Operation Christmas Child and Orbit, the Isotopes Mascot!

Baseball and shoeboxes will make a perfect pair Saturday, November first.  Orbit, the effervescent mascot of the Albuquerque Isotopes will appear with volunteers for Operation Christmas Child (OCC) between 10 AM and 1 PM at the proshop at Isotopes Park.  Orbit will be available for photos and autographs, while OCC volunteers provide giveaways and information about OCC.  Attendees are encouraged to bring either a packed shoebox or a "shoebox sized" toy (such as a stuffed animal) for donation to OCC.  Box contents (and shipping donations) information can be found at the OCC website. Sandia Baptist AWANA & Trek Program

We offer AWANA programs from Puggles up thru Trek. There is still space available in all groups. We meet on Wednesday nights from 6:00pm-8:00pm, now through the end of April. Trek is a new program only being offered in a few of Churches here in Albuquerque. It is for 7th & 8th grade boys & girls. It helps students begin to answer the questions "Who are you?" "Why are you here?" and "Who is with you?" by exploring God's big story and their place in it.
